Choice of tyres: influencing factors 2019

In 2019 people bought their car tyres not only on the internet, but above all from bricks-and-mortar retailers. But regardless of the place of purchase, the choice of tires is influenced by various factors. Following graphic shows which factors were most relevant when the consumer was faced with the question of which tyre to choose. In 2019, the majority trusted the recommendation of the garage (54%), followed by those who did their own research using test reports (43%). The price played a role for just 33%, the brand even less so (19%). Recommendations from the person’s private environment had the least influence on tyre purchases (6%).
